Dear Our Lady of Mount Carmel Families, 

           Welcome to a new school year. I hope you and your families have enjoyed a wonderful summer and are ready for another exciting school year at OLMC. As we we prepare to begin the new year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our returning families and a special welcome to those who are joing our school community for the first time. We are excited to have you with us!I am sure your children will be welcome with open arms.So much is happening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and we are always looking for more to enhance our students and parents OLMC experience. As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, in the 102st year of our wonderful school. We have so much to be thankful for and what we are most thankful for is that you entrust your wonderful children with us here at OLMC.  We have been hard at work this summer preparing for your return. We are eager to here our halls once again filled with the voices and joy of our students. A new school year also brings new opportunities. Our goal is to provide each of your children with a safe, nurturing and academically challenging learning environment. We will continue to emphasize our commitment to our faith, strong academic achievment and respect for each other. I also want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance and puntuality. Students are most successful when they are present and ready to learn each day. We ask your help in establishing good habits and reinforcing at home the importance of school and learning. Together we will enjoy the success of your child if we can estabish good habits and practices. Communication between home and school will also make for a successful school year. Please stay informed about activities, assignments, important dates and announcements. Remembe that as parents you have full access to track your childs progress through FACTS. The teacher gradebook is accessible to you at all times, except when it shuts down to finalize report cards. Our faculty and staff are working hard to prepare for not just this school year, but the implementation of the new I- Ready assesment tool which will be replacing MAP this school year throughout the Archdiocese. Together we can make this a productive and positive school year. I am expecting great things with lots of fun experiences as well as hard work and dedication to learning.Thank you again for your continued support. My door is always open to you if you have any issues or questions and I look forward to seeing you throughout the school year.
